Alison Kloempken

Alison Kloempken is the Tax Director at Brennan Investment Group’s Rosemont office. In her role at Brennan Investment Group, Alison plays a pivotal role in overseeing the tax affairs of the entire portfolio of properties. Her responsibilities include managing the tax compliance process across the portfolio, developing and maintaining Capital Analyses for each deal, and providing counsel across the firm as tax issues arise throughout the life of the investments. Alison liaises with the legal department on matters related to state registration of new projects and dissolution of sold properties and with the Investor Relations team on tax-specific requests from Investors, demonstrating her multifaceted skill set and ability to collaborate across departments.

With a distinguished career spanning years of service in tax consultancy and compliance across various real estate sectors, Alison’s professional journey is marked by notable achievements. At CA Ventures, she held a leadership role in the tax practice for four years, where she adeptly managed transactional consultation and tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of properties. Her expertise extended across residential, industrial, international student living, medical offices, REITs and funds, as well as asset and investment entities. Alison’s tenure at CA Ventures was characterized by her strategic guidance on deal structures, successful implementation of REITs, establishment of robust tax compliance processes, and cultivation of strong investor relationships.  Prior to her tenure at CA Ventures, Alison spent five years at KPMG, where she specialized in providing comprehensive tax services to public, and private real estate clients.

Alison is a proud alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned both her BS in Accountancy and her Masters in Accounting Science. Additionally, she holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, underscoring her commitment to professional excellence and integrity.
